(KRON) — A chain reaction car crash led to one vehicle slamming into The Dancing Cat, a non-profit cat rescue center, in San Jose Tuesday afternoon, said the San Jose Police Department. Investigators do not believe that alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision.

The incident happened at 1:04 p.m. in the area of 15th and Julian streets.

“Two vehicles collided, causing one to veer into a building in the 700 block of Julian Street,” said SJPD.

One person inside The Dancing Cat suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a nearby hospital. They are doing well, according to a statement to KRON4 from the non-profit.

One driver complained of pain but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The other driver was not injured, according to San Jose police.

The Dancing Cat calls itself “San Jose’s creative space for people and cats!” where guests can book hourly visits with adult cats up for adoption.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
