(KRON) — An assault weapon was found in a vehicle Monday that was wanted in connection with a felony robbery, according to the California Highway Patrol Oakland Area office.

CHP Oakland said officers pulled the car over in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and High Street at 4:01 p.m.

“During the investigation, officers discovered the vehicle was displaying false plates and confirmed to be stolen,” said CHP in a social media post. “A Draco pistol, an AK-style semi-automatic firearm, was recovered from inside the vehicle.”
