The victim was treated on scene before being transported by Shreveport Fire Department medics to Ochsner LSU Health hospital. Authorities say her injuries are non-life-threatening, and she is expected to recover.
Shreveport Police detectives are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses in the area. No arrests have been announced at this time. Officers are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact Shreveport Police or Caddo Crime Stoppers.
This incident adds to the growing concern over gun violence in Shreveport neighborhoods, as residents continue to call for stronger safety measures and community involvement to curb the violence.
