And that’s the home and headquarters for unCommon Construction.

It’s the classroom for students to learn how to build homes.
“We are in our 10th year of operating and we really needed a place where we can operate, gather and grow,” said Aaron Frumin.
Over the last ten years, the team of 500 students has built 15 homes.
The home builders needed a home.
And now they’re in the process of building and moving in.
“Well if we want to prepare young people for the real world, we need to actually give them an education that happens in it,” said Frumin.
There’s a big birthday party for unCommon Construction coming up on Sept. 10.
Picking up hammers instead of pencils, now the folks building strong homes for others and even stronger character, will have a home of their own, too.
“I used to be shy but now I go after opportunities with 100% effort,” said 17-year-old Warren Smith.
“Before I built a beta platform for my mom and dad. Now i can possibly build a house,” said 18-year-old Brent Madison.
