LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) — The Lee County Highway Department announced recently it will be closing a portion of Lee Road 145 for two days beginning Wednesday, Sept. 3.

The department says it will be closing the road approximately 0.2 miles east of the intersection of Lee Road 145 and Lee Road 175 for a cross drain replacement.

Drivers are advised to use the following detours:

Traffic wanting to travel west on Lee Road 145- at the junction of Lee Road 145 and Lee Road 195, turn onto Lee Road 195 and travel north on Lee Road 195 for 0.25 miles to the junction of Lee Road 195 and US Hwy. 280; then turn left onto US Hwy 280 and travel west approximately 1.1 miles to the junction of US Hwy. 280 and Lee Road 175; then turn left onto Lee Road 175 and travel south 0.1 miles to the intersection of Lee Road 145 and Lee Road 175.

Traffic wanting to travel east on Lee Road 145- will follow the same route; however, the route will be traveled in the opposite direction.

Detour signs will be in place for public convenience.
