Police: Rockford woman assaults officers after throwing wine glass at victim
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Kahindo Masalisali, 19, for allegedly assaulting officers after a battery incident.

On August 31, around 7 p.m., authorities were called to an apartment complex in the 700 block of South Main Street. The victim told officials that Masalisali forced her way into his apartment and would not leave.

She proceeded to throw wine from her glass at the man when she was pushed out of the apartment, court documents show.

The suspect also threw the glass at the victim, but he dodged it, the man told police.

When she was taken into custody, officers reported that Masalisali attempted to jump over a railing of a porch and attempted to bite officials.

Masalisali also attempted to break the windows of the squad car, according to court records.

She is charged with assault, two counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer, battery that caused physical contact, two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer, criminal trespassing to a residence and resisting a peace officer.
