Man accused of multiple sex crimes in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was arrested in connection with various sex crimes in New Orleans.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, 53-year-old John Curley was arrested in connection with an attempted sexual assault on July 13.

Further investigation led police to accuse Curley as the suspect in various additional investigations.

Curley was booked into the Orleans Justice Center and faces the following charges:

  • Attempted sexual assault
  • Attempted aggravated kidnapping
  • Misdemeanor sexual battery
  • Misdemeanor sexual battery
  • Simple battery
