Cyclist killed in Vallejo crash

(KRON) — A bicyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle near the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Tennessee Street in Vallejo shortly after midnight Sunday.

The Vallejo Police Department and the Vallejo Fire Department responded to the crash and attempted to revive the injured cyclist.

“Upon arrival, VPD officers located a bicyclist who had sustained significant injuries,” VPD said. “Emergency medical personnel provided life-saving measures, and the bicyclist was transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, the bicyclist was later pronounced deceased.”

The driver of the automobile involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with police, VPD said. The driver is not suspected of DUI.

Authorities are waiting for toxicology results for the cyclist. The identity of the cyclist is being withheld from the public while authorities notify the victim’s family.

This crash is Vallejo’s 11th traffic-related death of 2025.
