Bone fragments determined to be deer at Heather Teague search location in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Bones found at a new search location for Heather Teague in Henderson County were determined to be deer fragments.

This was confirmed by Kentucky State Police Trooper Corey King. King said a local anthropologist identified two of the bones as deer and the rest as non-human origin.

Excavation crews found the bones in a wooded area behind Cagey’s General Store. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office was called after the bones were discovered.

KSP said the body of Marty Dill was exhumed from Fairmount Cemetery in relation to the case for cross-examination of DNA found on Teague’s swimsuit.

Dill has been considered a suspect since Teague’s disappearance, but he died by suicide before authorities could question him.
