COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police Department has conducted an operation that led to the arrest of seven people who allegedly sold tobacco to underage individuals.

Officials say on on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, The Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit conducted compliance checks on businesses to ensure they were following state laws.

The following seven people were arrested for selling tobacco or vape products to underage customers:

  • Elizabeth Walker, 42 – 101 Smoke Shop, Veterans Parkway
  • Radulkumar Chaudhari, 58 – Vista Convenience, Buena Vista Road
  • Nareshbhai Chaudhari, 62 – Eagle Food & Lotto, Ft. Benning Road
  • Sumit (no last name), 34 – Exxon, Ft. Benning Road
  • Tamem Al-Shawih, 39 – Tobacco & Vapor 2, Talokas Lane
  • Dominique Adkinson, 31 – Sky Tobacco & Vape, Airport Thruway
  • Gurvinder Singh, 47 – Lumpkin Food Mart, S. Lumpkin Road

Those seven individuals will be charged with furnishing tobacco to a minor.
