PGFD: Officer and two others hurt in multi-vehicle crash

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A Prince George’s County police officer and two civilians were hurt after a Sunday multi-vehicle crash in Lanham, according to the Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD).

PGFD says crews responded to reports of a crash involving a PGPD cruiser at 8:40 p.m. near Whitfield Chapel Rd. and Martin Luther King Highway.

There, one person was extricated from their vehicle, and three people, including the officer, were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
