Labor Day Lights: Northern Lights could be visible in Oregon, Washington tonight
According to the
In NOAA’s latest forecast, the viewing line for the Northern Lights covers all of Washington and passes over the northernmost parts of Oregon, as well as parts of Wallowa County in Eastern Oregon.
Viewing conditions are dependent on the weather, and conditions in Portland are forecasted to be partly cloudy today, so there could be a chance of visibility.
However, for the best shot at seeing the Northern Lights, it’s advised to go further north and away from cities, which have more light pollution.
NOAA’s forecast for Tuesday night shows there being less visibility for the Pacific Northwest, with only the northern half of Washington state seeing a likelihood of an aurora.
