IMPD, ISP collaborate on holiday weekend reckless driving initiative
INDIANAPOLIS — Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department worked with troopers with the Indiana State Police over the holiday weekend on a reckless driving-centered initiative.
According to a social media post made by IMPD on Monday, the two entities worked together to “address reckless driving and street takeover activity” throughout Indianapolis, which included:
Eight arrests
22 traffic citations
Six vehicle tows
Seizure of three illegally possessed firearms, one of which was confirmed stolen
One machine gun conversion device recovered.
“IMPD and ISP remain committed to making sure our streets are safe for everyone,” the post read.
