Pleasant Labor Day, but temperatures are heating up in Columbus, Ga

COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL)-It has been a pleasant Sunday afternoon. We have had sunny skies with just a few clouds. Temperatures have risen into the 80s across the region.

Labor Day: Get ready for breezy conditions for Labor Day. Clear skies will continue tomorrow. If you are planning to travel, plan for showers across Northern Alabama and Georgia. Temperatures will sit in the mid-80s.

Next Week: By the time everyone heads back to work on Tuesday, we will be tracking our next cold front. A few stray showers are possible on Wednesday when the front enters.

Unfortunately, this will do nothing to cool temperatures. Afternoon readings will continue to rise next week, reaching into the 90s by Thursday.
