The St. Cloud Police Department said a woman was seriously injured Sunday morning after she was reportedly stabbed by a person she knew.
Police said they learned of the stabbing around 9:40 a.m. and found an injured woman at the 400th block of 19th 1/2 avenue North.
The woman received medical assistance and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for further treatment. St. Cloud Police said the woman is currently in critical condition and is still hospitalized.
In a later update police identified the suspect as George Washington Harris, 42, or St. Cloud.
At this time, Harris is not in custody, and the St. Cloud Police have stated that anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact 911.
Harris is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds —he has a tattoo on the front of his neck.
If you do see Harris, police advise against approaching him and to call 911 instead.
