BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana opened the 2025 season with a 27-14 win over Old Dominion on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, fueled by special teams and a dominant ground game.
Jonathan Brady delivered the highlight of the day with a 91-yard punt return touchdown late in the first quarter to tie the game after ODU’s Colton Joseph broke free for a 75-yard score on the Monarchs’ opening drive. From there, the Hoosiers took control.
Fernando Mendoza’s 5-yard touchdown run and two field goals from Nico Radicic helped Indiana build a 17-7 halftime lead. Running backs Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black powered the offense, combining for 203 rushing yards, with Black punching in a 2-yard score in the third quarter.
