Heroes for Hope 5K scheduled for Oct. 11 in Cave City

The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties, together with the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation, will host the annual Heroes for Hope 5K on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 9 at Cave City Park.
The family-friendly event invites participants to come dressed as their favorite hero while supporting local causes. Proceeds will benefit The CALL, which supports foster children and families, as well as the Sheriff Foundation’s public service programs.

The event will feature a 5K run/walk with a $30 entry fee, a free kids’ fun run immediately following the race, and a virtual runner option for those who wish to participate from a distance. Costumes are encouraged.

“Heroes for Hope is more than just a race,” said Ashley Beller, The CALL’s affiliate director. “It’s a celebration of community spirit and a way to show support for children in foster care, public servants, and families affected by hardship throughout our community.”

Registration information and additional event details are available through The CALL and the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation.
