Fall-like chill on tap in central Indiana
Once the sun comes up on our Sunday, temperatures will quickly begin to warm up. We’ll start in the mid-50s for the early morning hours, reaching the low 70s just before lunchtime. We will see our highs max out in the upper 70s come 4-6 PM.
Seasonal temperatures return for Labor Day, as we will see plenty of sunshine with high temperatures in the low 80s both Monday and Tuesday.
Another pattern change arrives for the middle of the week as a strong upper-level low will dip southeast across Canada, making its way into the Great Lakes and Midwest. This will return some rain chances as early as Tuesday afternoon. However, the best chances for showers and storms will be Wednesday evening through Thursday morning before we are back to sunshine to end next week. Expect a big change in our temperatures, as a cooler air mass from Canada will drop high temperatures 15-20 degrees below normal to end the week. Even overnight lows will be widespread in the 40s overnight Thursday. The current risk is for the below-normal temperatures to remain through the second week of September
