Police say 19-year-old Le’Gregory Ty’reil Blanks is charged with four counts of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless endangerment.
The arrest came after officers patrolling downtown heard gunfire around 2:30 a.m. on August 30. Investigators located multiple unoccupied vehicles struck by bullets near the 100 block of North College Street. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives identified Blanks as a suspect and, with the assistance of the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, located him in Wetumpka. He was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail, where he is being held on a $21,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation.
