Arkansas College Football Scoreboard: Week 1

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – As the summer is beginning to fade, it’s finally college football season once again and schools across the Natural State are firing up their pads.

This week four Arkansas colleges made their debut, with eight more starting their season next week, giving a total of 12 teams in action around the state.

Arkansas def. Alabama A&M 52-7

Taylen Green and the Razorbacks offense came out firing on Saturday with the quarterback racking up 322 yards and six touchdowns. They entered halftime 31-7 and didn’t stop, totaling 552 yards with 194 on the ground and 358 in the air en route to a 52-7 victory.

Arkansas State def. SE Missouri 42-24

The Red Wolves kicked off their 2025 campaign with a 42-24 victory over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks on the strength of Jaylen Raynor’s 345 yards and three touchdowns through the air. The victory was a much-needed confidence boost as they face a brutal back-to-back slate of games against Arkansas next week and No. 22 Iowa State the following week.

Texas Tech def. Arkansas-Pine Bluff 67-7

The Golden Lions entered their season opener with a tough atmosphere against the No. 23 Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock and faced a major deficit quickly as they went down 47-0 at halftime. After a 90-minute lightning delay, the team came back out and played two eight-minute quarters during which Ellis Stewart got their first points of the season on a seven-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Christian Peters.

Missouri def. Central Arkansas 61-6

UCA opened their season with a tough 61-6 loss against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia on Thursday night. The Bears surrendered 560 yards of total offense with Quarterback Beau Pribula leading the charge for the Tigers, accounting for four touchdowns while throwing for 283 yards and rushing for 65 more.

Looking ahead, Thursday night will feature six Arkansas colleges in action to start their seasons with four more games coming on Saturday including the first-ever meeting between the Razorbacks and Red Wolves.
