Volunteers spruce up Heights park
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – A West Mahanoy Township park is a little nicer now, thanks to the work of some volunteers.
The Heights Fire Co. maintains a public park on the fire company grounds, behind the firehouse at Swatara Road and Virginia Avenue.
Volunteers, with supplies from Myron Auto Body, replaced the backboards and nets at the basketball court, refurbished the mulch and timbers in the play areas, and overall cleaned the park up.
