Tractor-trailer crash on I-495 causing delays, lane closures

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Multiple lanes had to be closed on Interstate 495 in Fairfax County on Friday morning after a tractor-trailer crash.

Details are limited; however, motorists can expect to see delays on their morning commute near mile marker 48.6. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the north right lane and right shoulder closed, and the north entrance ramp narrows.

Traffic has backed up for several miles.

Due to the location of the crash, delays can also be expected going eastbound on Interstate 66 to I-495.
