The sold-out performance kicks off the North American leg of the band’s reunion tour.
Fans lined outside the home of the Chicago Bears hours before the doors were set to open, full of energy, awaiting the music they love.
“Simple cords, memorable lyrics, everyone in the crowd is going to know the words,” said Oasis fan Dennis Vomastic, who, along with his daughter Emma Strumming, expressed excitement for the show.
“Oasis is something that connected me to my dad because I could listen to it anytime if I was feeling alone,” she said.
Many Oasis fans also visited the Chicago Music Exchange in Lakeview, hoping to spot a glimpse of the Gallagher brothers as Noel made a surprise appearance three years ago. Guitarist Nathaniel Murphy and Chicago Music Exchange chief Andrew Yonkee caught up with Noel Gallagher earlier in the week.
“A down-to-earth guy,” Yonkee told WGN-TV. “I can tell you from interacting with the band that they’re excited.”
The show start time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
