Robbery suspects arrested in Benicia with help of license plate reader
Around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, an employee of a business contacted Benicia PD and informed officers that they had been robbed by four people. Responding officers were made aware that the suspects stole jewelry and a phone from the victim, which was valued at more than $6,500, police said.
The Automated License Plate Reader system assisted officers in finding the suspects.
Police said the four suspects, a 20-year-old from Vallejo, a 19-year-old from Fairfield, and a 26-year-old and a minor from Suisun, were located and arrested.
