NSU’s 76th ROTC Battalion holds activation ceremony to open semester

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Cadets in the 76th Demon Battalion of Northwestern State University’s ROTC kicked off the semester with an activation ceremony featuring words from Battalion Commander Todd Gladish.

“The ceremony is a military tradition that allows the commander to assess the readiness and discipline of the unit and commemorate the unit’s history and lineage,” a press release stated. “ROTC’s curriculum and training ensure cadets’ scholastic, athletic, and leadership abilities are developed and tested, preparing each for their unique career paths.”
