Merced welcomes new ‘neighborhood-friendly’ Starbucks

MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The City of Merced is welcoming its newest addition: a Starbucks that they say will bring a “neighborhood-friendly” concept to the area.

The new Starbucks will be located in the area of G and 23rd streets. The city welcomed the new location on Friday, saying the new addition is different than the other Starbucks; this one brings a new “neighborhood-friendly” concept, designed to feel like a “community space.”

The Staburcks will include more seating and dedicated mobile pick-up areas, food displays, and a redesigned espresso bar that “brings a little theater to your coffee run.”

The new Starbucks will open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 5 E. 23rd St., in Merced.
