The screenings are funded by a legislative grant awarded to the Laura W. Bush Institute and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and are conducted by Bexa Equity Alliance. The 15-minute exam uses a handheld device and doesn’t require standing or discomfort. The exam is a quick screening that checks for unusual lumps or changes in breast tissue.
