CHICAGO — A death investigation is underway after a man’s body was pulled from the lake near a downtown harbor early Saturday morning.

Chicago police say the victim, an unidentified male whose age is unknown, was pulled from the water in the 200 block of North Laketrail Trail near Monroe Harbor at around 3 a.m.

Shortly after his body was recovered, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

It is unclear exactly what led to the victim’s death and officers are now conducting a death investigation.

Authorities have not identified the victim and say they are currently awaiting autopsy results.
