All lanes back open after multi-vehicle crash shuts down portion of I-90

CHICAGO — A portion of the Kennedy Expressway was shut down early Saturday morning following a crash that left at least one person injured.

According to the Illinois State Police, the crash unfolded just after 7:30 a.m. along the northbound lanes of I-90 near West Fullerton Avenue.

While it is currently unclear what led to the crash, which troopers say involved multiple vehicles, at least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries, though the extent is unknown.

Because of the crash, troopers shut down the northbound lanes of I-90 near Fullerton. All lanes were back open by 9:10 a.m.

It is unclear what led to the crash and an investigation is ongoing.
