LASALLE COUNTY, Ill. — An overnight rollover crash involving a semi in LaSalle County caused some early-morning disruptions for drivers along I-80 on Friday.
The crash unfolded in the eastbound lanes of I-80 just before Exit 97 to East 24th Road in Ottawa.
The semi, which was reportedly carrying fruit at the time, overturned on the roadway, spilling fuel along the eastbound lanes.
Due to the crash, drivers are being diverted off I-80 at Exit 97 to Marseilles at East 24th Road.
Currently, it is unclear how long the closures will last or if anyone was injured.
