Monongahela National Forest sites close for the season on these dates
ELKINS, W.Va. (WBOY) — Although the Monongahela National Forest is open to the public year-round, some sites are closed in the fall or winter until spring.
Here’s a list of sites and attractions that will be closing in 2025.
Elkins and Parsons areas:
Bear Heaven Campground – Dec. 1
Bickle Knob Observation Tower – Closes when roads are snow-covered.
