Crowley man arrested for meth after multi-agency probe and police chase
Marcus Jude Redlich Jr., 24, of Crowley, was arrested as a result of a multi-agency narcotics investigation involving the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Officials said as LPSO attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Redlich’s vehicle he refused to stop and led law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit.
During the pursuit, officials said Redlich threw three pounds of crystal methamphetamine, valued at $275,000 from his vehicle before crashing and being apprehended.
Redlich was booked into jail for possession with intent to distribute schedule II (Crystal Methamphetamine).
The investigation is ongoing. No information has been released regarding Redlich’s bail.
