Boone County pair arrested after search of Capron home

CAPRON, Ill. (WTVO) — The search of a Boone County home leads to the arrest of a man and woman in Capron.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in the 8000 block of Edson Road in Capron Thursday.

As a result of the investigation, two people were arrested and now face multiple charges.

Amanda Ramey, 37, of Capron, is charged with theft in excess of $500, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, defacing a firearm, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card (FOID).

Robert Ramey, 44, of Capron, is charged with theft in excess of $500, possession of a stolen vehicle, defacing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and driving while suspended.

Both suspects are being held in the Boone County Jail awaiting their first court appearance.
