SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Booker T. Washington High School will host a special presentation on Friday, August 29, 2025, as the Guitar Center Foundation donates $25,000 worth of new instruments to its band program. Booker t. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. in the school auditorium, 2104 Milam St. Representatives from the foundation will join district and school leaders for the announcement.
School officials say the donation will greatly enhance music education opportunities and strengthen the future of the band program.

“This gift will have a tremendous impact on students and the future of music education,” the district said in a news release.
