2 juveniles critically injured in shooting on Chicago’s South Side
CHICAGO (WGN) — Two juveniles were critically injured in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side Thursday afternoon, police say.

According to the Chicago Police Department, two male victims, ages 12 and 15, were in a vacant lot in the 600 block of West 47th Street at around 3:45 p.m. when they got in a fight with an unknown number of suspects.

At least one suspect pulled out a handgun and fired shots at the boys, police say.

The 12-year-old was shot in the chest, and the 15-year-old was shot in the hip area, according to CPD. Both were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No suspects are in custody. Detectives are still investigating.
