Shawn Moir, 26, was wanted by the Vineland Police Department for homicide and related charges. Moir is accused of stabbing his grandfather to death with a kitchen knife on August 26.
According to U.S. Marshals, around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force located a black Chevy Tahoe that Moir stole from his grandfather after the murder. The vehicle was later found inside a Villanova University parking garage near Lancaster and Ithan Avenues.
After conducting surveillance on the Tahoe, Marshals saw Moir inside and arrested him without incident.
“Villanova University has seen significant law enforcement activity over the past couple weeks. We are very pleased to have effected a safe arrest in a manner that avoided drawing student attention,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Det. Timothy Delouise of the Vineland Police Department at (856) 691-4111 or Det. Ashley Cornwall of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at (856) 332-5513.
