For its 20th anniversary in 2026, the annual Visa Payments Forum (VPF) will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, the digital payment company announced in a news release Wednesday.
In addition, the Moscone Center will be the host venue for VPF over the next five years until 2030, Visa announced.
The company’s San Francisco headquarters is located at 300 Toni Stone Xing in the city’s Mission Rock neighborhood — a building that held its grand opening in June 2024.
Visa isn’t the only major company to bring a multi-day conference to San Francisco. Salesforce is set to have its annual “Dreamforce” conference at Moscone Center from Oct. 14-16. HumanX is scheduled to have its conference in April 2026 at the same venue; the company’s 2025 conference was held in Las Vegas.
Mayor Daniel Lurie is excited to have these conferences choose San Francisco as the host city. The city says 32 events at Moscone Center this year are projected to generate $600 million in the local economy.
Lurie said Visa data shows spending in San Francisco increased 10% and is up every month.
“Companies are bringing workers back to the office, small businesses are opening across our city, and you can feel the energy downtown,” Lurie said in a statement. “Visa’s commitment to bring their conference to the Moscone Center underscores San Francisco’s status as a world-class destination for business and innovation.”
“The future of payments is here in San Francisco, a city that has always been at the heart of Visa’s story,” said Oliver Jenkyn, Group President, Global Markets at Visa. “By bringing Visa Payments Forum home, we are investing in the local community, supporting economic growth, and showcasing San Francisco’s role as a global hub for innovation. We are proud to deepen our commitment to this remarkable city.”
