Officers were called to the 1100 block of South 6th Street for reports of battery on August 25, around 10:20 p.m. The victim told authorities she was attacked earlier in the day at 7th and 10th Avenue.
The woman was scared to report what happened because she was on parole, she reported.
Royalty hit the victim in the face with the bottle and pushed her to the ground, according to court records.
The woman told officials that Royalty proceeded to break the bottle and aim it at her. Royalty fled on foot after threatening the victim with the broken bottle, authorities reported.
The victim sustained visible injuries, court documents show.
Royalty was found standing in the driveway of the victim’s residence and was taken into custody after a struggle.
She is charged with aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated battery while using a deadly weapon, resisting an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her mugshot was not readily available.
