Bloomington police are investigating after a gunshot was fired during a disturbance near Kirkwood and Dunn Street early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to the area around 3:10 a.m. after reports of a gunshot. Witnesses told police a verbal argument broke out between several people before a man fired a single round into the air at 4th and Dunn.
Investigators located a shell casing in the area of 4th Street and Dunn. Police said two vehicles were involved in the incident, and the man who fired the gun left the area in one of the vehicles.
No injuries were reported. Police said they are investigating the case as criminal recklessness.
No arrests had been made as of Wednesday, and police did not release additional details, citing the ongoing investigation.
