SmartAsset ranked NLTCC No. 21 among 585 community colleges nationwide, considering factors such as tuition, student-to-faculty ratios, and retention rates.
According to a news release, the college was also included in USA TODAY’s inaugural list of the Top Vocational Schools for 2025, developed with Statista. This ranking assessed graduation rates, graduate salaries, repayment of net cost, social mobility, and diversity.
Closer to home, Niche placed NLTCC No. 4 among community colleges in Louisiana for 2025, using federal education data and student reviews to rate academics, affordability, and student experience.
“We are honored that NLTCC is being recognized at both the state and national levels,” said Chancellor Jayda Spillers in the news release. “These rankings highlight the dedication of our faculty and staff and show that a community college education is critical in opening doors for our students and strengthening our communities.”
With campuses in Mansfield, Minden, and Shreveport, NLTCC offers hands-on training in Allied Health, Industrial Technology, and Manufacturing Technology. Registration for the second fall term begins October 13, 2025.
