The murals, which feature native wildlife and plants, are part of a public art project celebrated by local officials.
“I’ve been painting interior murals for years. I’m a pen-and-ink and watercolor artist for like the last 40 years. And I’ve done a few exterior murals around the area. But this is the biggest project that I’ve done,” said Gary Simon, the artist responsible for the murals.
The murals are designed to be accessible to both park-goers and people driving on the nearby highway, ensuring that the art can be appreciated by a wide audience.
The new murals not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of Glen Green Park but also signify the beginning of a series of improvements aimed at enriching the community’s experience.
