Emmanuel Haro’s father admitted to jail informant that he killed baby: report

The father of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro has reportedly confessed to killing the child and putting his body in a trash can in their home, NewsNation’s Brian Entin reports.

Jake Haro revealed that information to a fellow inmate who was actually an undercover informant, Entin said, a technique known as using a Perkins informant.

That came after Haro told police he rolled over in bed and accidentally killed the child before burying the body, Entin added.

Haro, 32, and his wife, 41-year-old Rebecca Haro, have been arrested and charged with the child’s murder, even though Emmanuel’s body has not yet been found.

Rebecca Haro claimed she was knocked unconscious and her child kidnapped at a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa on Aug. 14, though court documents indicate investigators believe the infant may have been dead up to nine days before that.

If convicted, the couple could be sentenced to death or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
