FLORA, Ill. (WCIA) — A woman from Flora is under arrest after the Illinois State Police said she distributed “harmful material” to minors and contributed to the criminal delinquency of a minor.

Officials said in a news release that the investigation into 24-year-old Jaryn Allen started in May, when the ISP was requested by the Flora Police Department to investigate allegations against her. The allegations included distributing harmful materials to a minor and providing alcohol to a minor between March and May in Clay County.

“After a thorough investigation, ISP Special Agents presented their findings to the Clay County State’s Attorney,” State Police officials said. “On August 28, 2025, Allen was formally charged.”

The charges consist of distributing harmful material, a Class 4 felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. A warrant was issued for Allen’s arrest on Thursday, and she was taken into custody the same day.

She is currently in the Clay County Jail, awaiting an initial appearance before a judge.
