Bassmaster Open in April had many fishermen on Lake Norfork

10 inches of rain in April couldn’t keep one major fishing tournament deterred from the area as they look to return with another series in the fall of next year.

The Bassmaster Elite Series has reached out to the City of Mountain Home and is negotiating to bring its elite qualifier series to Norfork Lake in October of 2026.

Mountain Home Mayor Hillary Adams says the proposed fishing event would bring an ever higher level of sport anglers to the Twin Lakes Area.
