OPELOUSAS, La. (
KLFY) — If you’re planning to go to a high school football game in St. Landry Parish this season, be prepared to carry nothing but a clear bag into the stadium.
The school district has announced it is enforcing its clear-bag policy at all St. Landry Parish football games again this season. The policy has been in place since 2022.
Spectators will not be allowed to bring in backpacks, large purses or totes, mesh bags, camera bags or any bag that is not clear.
The following bags will be permitted:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
- Clear one-gallon resealable plastic storage bags (Ziploc-style)
- Small clutch bags or purses (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”) – with or without a strap
- Diaper bags (subject to search) when accompanied by a child
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for security screening at entry gates. All bags will be subject to inspection, officials said.
