ARISTES – If you’ll be driving between Aristes and Numidia next week, expect delays.
Route 42 will be down to one lane between Aristes Ringtown Road in Aristes and Rhoadestown Road in Numidia beginning Sept. 2.
PennDOT crews will be replacing the shoulders on the highway that day through Friday, weather permitting. The work will be done in the daytime and drivers should expect a lane closure with flagging.
Paving will also begin Tuesday, starting in Numidia and moving toward Aristes. That work is expected to wrap Sept. 12.
Drivers should be alert, slow down, watch for stopped or slow-moving vehicles, and drive with caution through the work zone.
