U of A lifts lockdown after no evidence of active shooter

In a release Monday afternoon from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville all lockdown protocols have been lifted as law enforcement has been unable to confirm any active threats on campus.

Original reports had the school locked down at noon with reports of a possible active shooter in the area of the university library.

Police continue to investigate and patrol campus this afternoon. Administrators state that classes have been cancelled for the remainder of the day but will resume Tuesday. Students are free to leave campus according to the release.
