NEW ORLEANS, LA. (KLFY) — Saints Head Coach Kellen Moore announced Tuesday during a press conference that Spencer Rattler will be the franchise’s next starting quarterback. Rattler has competed alongside Louisville rookie Tyler Shough throughout training camp and the preseason to earn his spot.
“Really really excited about Spencer. He’s earned this opportunity.”, Kellen Moore stated about the decision.
Rattler concluded preseason play going 30-43 with 295 yards passing, a touchdown, and two turnovers.
The South Carolina alum will lead the Saints into a new era under Kellen Moore’s leadership in his sophomore campaign. The Saints begin the 2025 season on Sep. 7 against the Arizona Cardinals on KLFY.
