Reconstruction work to cause closures on U.S. 165 in Pineville

PINEVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – Motorists should prepare for lane and ramp closures beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the U.S. 167 Kingsville Interchange in Pineville, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

Starting at 9 a.m., weather permitting, the outside lanes of U.S. 165 in both directions and three entrance and exit ramps at the interchange will be closed for reconstruction work.

DOTD said the following will remain open during construction:

  • The U.S. 167 northbound exit to U.S. 165 northbound
  • The inside lanes of U.S. 165 northbound and southbound

The closures mark the start of Phase 1 of a roadway and ramp reconstruction project. Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 21, 2025, at which time all U.S. 167 ramps and the outside lanes of U.S. 165 will reopen.
