(BCN) — A motorcyclist was killed over the weekend after crashing on the Highway 17 connector to Interstate 280 in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, a BMW motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 17 toward southbound I-280 when it veered to the left shoulder and struck a concrete bridge railing over the Moorpark Avenue undercrossing, the CHP said in a statement. The impact ejected the rider, who landed on a concrete embankment.
